Hi, I'm Bethany! I am very excited to be serving as the President for HCU. During my twelve years with the district I have worked as an SEA at Century High School. I have been an active union member during these years serving as a worksite leader, treasurer, secretary, bargaining team member and currently as president. I believe strongly in the collective power that comes with being a dues paying union member. Unions are essential to building a better work environment, through the collective bargaining process. A contract gives us a voice. In my personal time, I enjoy baking, gardening, travel and spending time with my family and fur babies.

I am excited to serve as your HCU treasurer for the next two years. I am looking forward to meeting more of our amazing bargaining unit members this year as I embark on my part time release journey that is pushing me out of my comfort zone. With the support of our members, we can accomplish great things even if the road is long and rocky.

During the other half of my day, I am a School to Career Assistant at Century High School a job and location that I have thoroughly enjoyed for 8 years. 

I raised both my boys in the Hillsboro School District and look forward to watching my grandchildren grow up here too.

Hi, I'm Ciara! I'm thrilled to be serving as the HCU Bargaining Officer and Chief Steward for the 2023-24 school year. This will be my sixth year as an HSD employee. In my time with HSD, I've worked as an Elementary School Office Manager, a school-based Technician, and now as the district A/V Systems Specialist. I'm blessed to get to travel to many different job sites for my work, which means I get to meet a lot of amazing classified staff! I'm so proud of the work we all do to keep our district running, and I believe that the best way to honor that work is through a strong contract and fair compensation. I'm looking forward to strong gains for HSD Classified staff during the next bargaining season- please join us, and help make that vision a reality!

Hi, I'm Paola! I am very excited to serve as your HCU Organizing Officer. I am looking forward to meeting new members and helping our current members. I have worked for the Hillsboro School District for 12 years, first as a Bilingual Assistant, then as an elementary office manager, and for the last three years as an Administrative Assistant for the Technology Department. I have three boys: 19, 10 and 4 years old. I love spending time with my family and friends, and during my free time, l enjoy watching some good shows. My boys play sports, and you will probably find me at the soccer field or basketball court cheering on them. I am from Guatemala, bilingual in English/Spanish. I am excited to start as a union board member. It is a way to help our classified team members and make our voices heard. One goal of being a union member is to build collaborative relationships and trust among other members and all the classified staff.

My name is Alicia Infante. I'm married, with four kids. My youngest is a 5th grade student in the Hillsboro School District and the other three are 15, 18, and 20. I have been employed with HSD for four years this year but have worked many years in public education. This will be my second year as Reedville Elementary's Wellness Instructor and my first year on the union board as the VP of Political Action! I'm excited to be able to help make a difference this year using my love for politics. I enjoy advocating for what is right and using my voice to help spread awareness on issues that affect us in our day to day lives.
