May 2026 - Alicia Infante, HCU Political Action Officer Delivers Monthly  School Board Report

HCU Executive Board hears you, Classified Professionals!

Every spring, we see the same unacceptable cycle: budget cuts that negatively impact our work environments, our students, and our lives. This is not what quality education looks like, and it is not what a quality work environment should look like. We cannot continue treating this as a normal part of the school year.

The burden of these cuts continues to fall on the backs of the people who show up every day for our students and schools. This coming spring, HCU will be in Salem for the legislative long session, advocating for a better, more sustainable funding model for Oregon schools. Our students, our schools, and the people who keep them running deserve better. This cannot continue to be the standard for our state.
